I must say, I personally would not recommend the R4. It’s probably cheaper than some of the other cards on the market, but the support isn’t great and firmware upgrades can be a bit sporadic. I’d put either the CycloDS Evolution or AceKard 2 at the top of the list. Also, these things come in really neat boxes for some reason and are generally a pretty cheap solution. I should note that you only the need the cart+memory card to play GBA games, you don’t need a DS-slot flash cart.
